A human leg bone was found on May 14 just 0.3 miles from Taylor Swift’s mansion in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, sparking public concern over a possible serial killer in New England. Police collected the remains and sent them to the medical examiner, though they currently say no foul play is suspected.

Since March, 13 separate cases of human remains have been reported across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut—including bodies found in forests, rivers, and even inside suitcases. Residents, like Taylor Day of Westerly, say they’re on edge, despite official claims that the cases are unrelated. Some experts, including forensic scientists and former detectives, say investigations are still in early stages and no clear connection has been confirmed yet.
