We’ve heard stories about people standing up to ‘the man’ before, but one family in Australia seems to be taking it to a whole new level by turning down every offer for their property.
“Depending on the extent to which you advance the development plan, it would be feasible to develop anywhere from 40 to 50 properties on a site like this, and when subdivided, a 300 square metre lot could fetch a million dollars.”
Currently, the property is surrounded on all sides by neighboring residences that have been constructed right up to its boundary. Nevertheless, the family residing there has no intention of selling and expresses their enjoyment of living in a cul-de-sac.
Diane Zammit, 50, shared with Daily Mail Australia that the area was once characterized as “farmland interspersed with quaint red brick houses and cottages.”
“Each residence was distinct, and there was ample space – but that is no longer the case. It simply isn’t the same anymore,” she remarked.
