State of Mexico – November 20: A significant accident took place on the Mexico-Querétaro Highway at kilometer 059+000 in Huehuetoca, involving a trailer that was unable to stop in time and collided with several vehicles. The trailer ultimately obstructed all three north-south lanes, resulting in a partial closure of the highway and considerable traffic delays.

The trailer was en route to Mexico City and, prior to reaching the Jorobas intersection, crashed into a bank before impacting five cars and a pickup truck. Earlier rainfall had left the roads slick, which may have played a role in the driver’s failure to brake effectively. Authorities are currently investigating the precise cause of the incident.

Emergency responders arrived promptly and provided treatment to multiple individuals for minor injuries. Although no serious injuries were reported, paramedics advised hospital evaluations as a precaution.

Fuel Spill in Distinct Incident

On the same highway, at kilometer 95.5 close to Soyaniquilpan de Juárez, a different accident involving a tanker trailer resulted in a considerable fuel spill. This occurrence necessitated the complete closure of all lanes in that vicinity, leading to additional traffic delays.

Authorities advise drivers to practice caution during inclement weather and to stay vigilant regarding dangerous road conditions.
