Khaby Lame Speaks Out On Leaving America Following ICE Detention

TikTok star Khaby lame has spoken out on leaving America after being detained by ICE.

Workplaces all over the US have been raided in Trump’s most recent mass deportation plan, using the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, known as ICE.

The city of Los Angeles broke out in riots and protests againsts the deportations – chaos has continued for days including multiple arrests, and even a reporter being shot in the ‘crossfire’.

Trump called in 2000 National Guard troops due to the ‘violent protests threatening the security of and significant damage to Federal immigration detention facilities and other Federal property’, against the wishes of California Governor, Gavin Newsom.

Trump’s goal is to create the ‘biggest deportation operation’ in the history of the United States, but LA is clearly fighting back.

This month, Trump increased the goal for ICE officers to arrest minimum 3,000 people daily – causing authorities to raid work places, restaurants, homes and retail shops.

One of the many arrested was TikTok sensation, Khaby lame – who holds the title for the most followers on the app, with 162.2 million followers.

An ICE spokesperson shared with Men’s Journal: “U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Seringe Khabane Lame, 25, a citizen of Italy, June 6, at the Harry Reid International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada for immigration violations.”

“Lame entered the United States April 30 and overstayed the terms of his visa. Lame was granted voluntary departure June 6 and has since departed the U.S.”

Now, Lame has broken his silence following being detained.

Sharing a snap, originally posted by Will Smith, Lame wrote: ‘Wow, what a great experience.

‘Thanks for letting me be part of your movie.’”

The star made a cameo appearance in Smith’s newest release, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, which came out 2024.
